There are several wrong ways to use condoms: Watch out!
Condoms are great at preventing both pregnancy and STD. If you use condoms correctly every single time you have sex, it can be very effective at preventing pregnancy.
A lot of people who use condoms to prevent pregnancy are mistaken. They think they don’t have to wear it the whole time from start to finish, but only before ejaculation. But actually, a small amount of sperm will be excreted with secretions, which is very easy to make the woman pregnant.
These six steps will lead you to correctly using a condom, so you can feel safer when having sex:
1. Check the expiration date on the package and look for any holes, tears, or signs of damage.
2.Most condoms are pre-lubricated, but adding extra water-based or silicone lube like glycerin can provide additional moisturization. Don’t use anything that has oils such as cooking oils, vaseline or baby oil. Non condom safe oils can damage latex condoms and may cause them to break.
3.Keep condoms away from sharp items such as keys, coins, jewellery and nails can damage the condoms. Also, be careful not to accidentally scratch the condoms with your fingernails or ring when using them.
4.Once the condom is opened, use it. The strength of thin latex products is easily weakened when exposed to air, sunlight or under the action of heat.
5.Pinch the tip of the condom in order to exhaust the air. The tip is used to store sperm, so don’t put it on the head of your penis. After the use of condoms, check whether there is any damage and whether the semen has leaked.
6. After you ejaculate, hold onto the rim of the condom and pull your penis out of your partner’s body while still erect.
